- St. Stephen's De La Salle BNS

We were delighted here in St. Stephen's to see the De La Salle GAA club secure the Waterford U-21 'A' county hurling title on Sunday, January 14th, with a win over Abbeyside. The final score was 1-12 to 1-08. The win for De La Salle made it 3 U21 Hurling County Championships in a row, and 4 in the last 5 years, which is a remarkable achievement. Well done to all the players and to the management.

The team visited St. Stephen's with the Liam O'Donnell Eastern Cup and the Tony Mansfield County Cup on Monday, January 15th. Team captain Shane Ryan had a few words to say about following your dreams and never giving up, while Mr. Morris and Mr. Keevers added a few words too. It was great to see so many past pupils of our school returning as part of the victorious panel.
