We LOVED Maths Week here in Mrs. Breen's 1st Class! We used the 20 frame to work on our missing addents - for example, 14 +? = 20. So every boy puts in 14 red counters and then fills the rest with yellow to try to figure out what is our missing number: 12 +? + 6 = 20, or 12 red counters 6 yellow how many are empty? The class worked out that it was 2 so the magic number was 2! Check out some photos below from a mathe-magical game for Maths Week!
