Mr. Russell's 5th Class were celebrating Space Week Ireland 2018, part of World Space Week. The boys were learning lots about planet Earth, our solar system, and other interesting things about space, as well as doing some science experiments with a space theme. As well as all of that, they were joined on Skype by Karen O'Flaherty, who works with the ESA (European Space Agency), they're also Skyping Armagh Observatory to learn more about the stars, and the class received a visit from Minister of State for Training, Skills, Innovation, Research and Development John Halligan T.D. on Monday, October 8th. The Minister has a special interest in STEM and space, and called to 5th Class to enjoy two science experiments and a chat about Space and STEM learning!
