Mr. Russell's 5th Class connected with the Debra Toor to learn all about sea turtles in November 2018! The boys learned about the Vulture, and were stunned to learn that some species of vulture are endangered. They learned how scientists study vultures and learn more about them, as well as how important vultures are for eliminating diseases that would affect humans. Unfortunately, between climate change and human actions with pesticides and poisons killing other animals, vulture numbers are falling. It was a really interesting and eye opening Skype call with Debra, who we extend our thanks to for connecting with the boys on the day after Thanksgiving!
