- St. Stephen's De La Salle BNS

Pictured below is the 6th class basketball team, who competed in the annual Primary Schools' Basketball blitz at De La Salle College. The boys had trained hard since October and were eager to display their skills. The team got off to a rocky start, with a defeat to St Declan's but powered on in convincing back-to-back victories against Scoil Lorcáin B and Ferrybank. The final game in the group was against Mount Sion, who, after going behind by six, came back in a late surge to clinch the draw.

The boys from St. Stephen's qualified second and went through to a semi-final against Scoil Lorcáin A. After a very tight and tense first half, the opposition pulled away and were victorious. Everyone was disappointed but happy in the knowledge that they had left everything on the court. St Declan's went on to become deserving overall winners. Well done to all involved!
