A new activity for World Book Day this year was a whole class poem written by Miss Byrne's 4th Class! It's a brilliant piece of writing and we all think that it's great! Read the poem for World Book Day 2019:

HOORAY FOR WORLD BOOK DAY:

Open a book and you will find,
Characters and places of every kind,
With the flick of a page, you'll be in a different land,
And trust me, it won't be bland!

A page a day, will take you away,
It will be so interesting, you'll want to read all day,
Aliens, spaceships, superheroes and more,
You'll find books with pages galore!

It may be a factual or a fictional book,
There are stories everywhere you look,
When you read, you'll learn more each day,
So everyone shout HOORAY FOR WORLD BOOK DAY!!!!
