We had a great time celebrating World Book Day 2020 in St. Stephen's! As always, the festivities were planned to open up the benefits of reading to everyone - and everyone had a great time as every class celebrated books, reading and all that goes with it!

* Favourite Books Podcast: It's a yearly tradition for World Book Day now, as boys from lots of classes speak about their favourite books! Click the link to listen to this super podcast of boys from lots of classes in St. Stephen's talking about the books that they were enjoying for World Book Day 2020!

* Miss Nevin's Class as Book Characters: Miss Nevin's Junior Infants dressed up as their favourite book characters and brought in books to read!

* Buddy Reading Miss Keevers' 5th Class and Miss Brennan's Senior Infants: Miss Keevers' 5th Class visited Miss Brennan's Senior Infants to talk about books and to read books and stories to the younger boys!

* Character Dress Up and Favourite Books in Mr. O'Sullivan's 1st Class: The boys in Mr. O'Sullivan's 1st Class loved coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters and telling the class about their favourite books! The boys were also visited by Mr. Cantwell's 4th Class, who read some books with the younger boys.

* Shared Reading with Miss Nevin's Junior Infants and Mr. R. Hayden's 6th Class: Miss Nevin's Junior Infants loved having their older friends over to visit and read them some stories for World Book Day!

* Shared Reading and Dressing Up for World Book Day in Mrs. Breen's 1st Class: Mrs. Breen's 1st Class had a super time for World Book Day, wearing costumes, reading books with Miss Byrne's 4th Class, and enjoying a storyteller at The Book Centre!

* Storyteller at The Book Centre and Favourite Books in Miss O'Shea's 2nd Class: Miss O'Shea's 2nd Class had a jam packed day for World Book Day 2020, reading books, wearing the costumes of favourite book characters, visiting a storyteller in The Book Centre and purchasing new books with their World Book Day tokens!

* Buddy Reading Mr. Russell's 5th Class and Miss Robinson's Senior Infants: Mr. Russell's 5th Class visited Miss Robinson's Senior Infants to talk about books and to read stories to the younger boys!

* Storyteller at The Book Centre with Mrs. Breen's 1st Class: Mrs. Breen's 1st Class enjoyed visiting a storyteller in The Book Centre!

* Shared Reading with Miss Kenny's Junior Infants and Mr. C. Hayden's 6th Class: Mr. C. Hayden's 6th Class visited Miss Kenny's Junior Infants to talk about books and to read books and stories to the younger boys!

* Miss Byrne's 4th Class enjoyed Shared Reading with Mrs. Breen's 1st Class: Miss Byrne's 4th Class have a great love of reading and books and were really happy to share that with their friends in Mrs. Breen's 1st Class, as they went over to the younger boys to share reading with them for World Book Day!
