- St. Stephen's De La Salle BNS

Mr. Russell's 5th Class travelled to the De La Salle Pastoral Centre in Castletown, Co. Laois, on Tuesday, March 14th, to present their Lasallian Project 2017 "An Event In The Life Of John Baptist De La Salle" for judging!

There were 11 De La Salle schools from all of Ireland entered in the Lasallian Competition 2017 - and the boys were delighted to finish in the runners up places and receive a special commendation for their work! The class received a beautiful plaque and a personalised certificate each for participating.

The boys enjoyed some lovely sunshine and played some basketball and football with the boys from St. Patrick's De La Salle, the only other primary school in the competition, before both schools took a walk around the grounds.

5th Class all enjoyed a wonderful day out in Castletown, and both the boys and we thank the Brothers for the warm welcome and hospitality that was extended to everyone on the day. We send our congratulations to St. Patrick's De La Salle from Castlebar, who also won a special commendation for their stunning mosaic of John Baptist De La Salle. We at St. Stephen's are already looking forward to next year's competition.
