The people behind the 100 Word Challenge select a small number of stories to be featured on the 100 Word Showcase. These stories are picked from around the world each week!

Here in 5th Class 2018/2019, we're very lucky to have had several stories featured on the 100 Word Showcase! Read all of the Showcase stories below, along with the date that they featured on the 100 Word Showcase:

100 Word Showcase: September 29th, 2018:

"Pongo The Alligator" by Eoin K


Once upon a time there was an alligator named Pongo.This hurrendous name came from his owner Mr Bongo who worked as a teacher in a school in Florida. Everyday Pongo had to wear a maeve hat, scarf and gloves and Mr Bongo let the students come and see Pongo and they all laughed. Pongo thought about escaping. One idea was to eat Mr Bongo, this backfired because Mr Bongo has a very big bottom and farts all the time. Pongo had to climb over the fence and into the river he jumped. He swam and swam and never wants to see Mr Bongo again.


100 Word Showcase: October 6th, 2018:

"The Cuckoo Superheroes" by Charlie O'C.


Cuckoo Island is an island off the coast of Brazil. Cuckoo the koala & Crazy the kangaroo live in a secret base there. They are crazy superhero’s but are excellent at their jobs. Cuckoo is the brains and Crazy is the muscles of the company. One day, they got a call from a man in Mexico, the man said ”there are two people who are robbing a bank as we speak, please help”.  Crazy and Cuckoo jumped in their plane and flew to Mexico,they arrived in Mexico 4.112574 seconds later. Crazy jumped out  and beat up one bad guy,   the other one tried to escape in his car but it seemed to be going backwards into the river never to be seen again!
