Everyone at St. Stephen's was pleased to welcome the Mayor, Eamon Quinlan, to our school on Thursday, October 22nd.
All the classes gathered in the yard to welcome the Mayor. The Mayor spoke to us about the cleanliness of our school, our Green Flags and the importance of being a friend and including everyone in our games, as it is enshrined in the Irish Constitution that all children should be treated equally. Mr. Quinlan also presented our school with a replica of the 1916 Proclamation!
The Mayor made himself very (very!) popular when announcing a night off homework, before presenting 55 boys with certificates for full school attendance in 2014/2015. Well done to these boys on a fantastic achievement!
