Welcome to this very special section - for Miss Nevin's awesome Junior Infant Class! We're going to have SO many adventures this year! The exciting activities and adventures that happen in our room will be updated here! We love learning about all kinds of different things! And here in Miss Nevin's Class, Aistear is one of our favourite things to do! Aistear is a new curriculum framework for children up to six years in Ireland. It gives enjoyable and challenging learning experiences so that all children can grow and develop as competent and confident learners. One of Aistear's main principles is learning through play and another principle is seeing the children as citizens.

Aistear uses four themes to outline children’s learning and development. These themes connect and overlap with each other:
* Well-being
* Identity and Belonging
* Communicating
* Exploring and Thinking.
