The 2016/2017 Roots of Empathy programme in 5th Class has come to an end. The final Family Visit took place on Tuesday, June 20th, when baby Lucy came to visit for the final time for the final theme. It was in one sense a sad occasion, and yet it was a happy time, as the class, Mr. Fahy, Miriam and baby Lucy celebrated the year that Lucy has spent visiting 5th Class. Some lovely photos were shown, a beautiful Roots of Empathy tree was presented, with all the boys' wishes for Lucy, a DVD was shown of Lucy's year with the class, from her first visit in October 2016 to the visit for theme 8, and everyone could see how much Lucy has grown, and the celebration was rounded off with cake and some drinks!
A big thanks to Mr. Fahy and Lucy for helping to make the Roots of Empathy programme so successful this year. Of course, a huge thank you to Miriam, who, as the RoE facilitator made it all so interesting and engaging every week.
